Prayer Sandwiches

Our worship recently has become a little.......how can I put this.....
Well what is happening is - we will sing one song then there will be a scripture and prayer then another song and so on and so on.........
Now i have 2 issues with this

1 - Worship should flow naturally and going through the above method does not give it time to flow and therefore there is no flow. Personally I feel stifled and unable to get into worship.
The problem with this is that worship is not just about the songs we sing our how many we sing its about the state of our hearts and our lives. so I know I have to deal with it!!!!

James 5:13 (New International Version)

13Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise

2 - The Bible CLEARLY tells us to obey our leaders. If you believe that your leader is truly anointed by God ( And I do!) then you have to believe that when he/ they make changes then they are doing what they believe God is telling them - So I have to Trust.
In my experience the first people to admit a mistake are our Leaders so until then I will have to trust that this is from God and I will have to figure out what God is trying to Teach Me / Us!

Hebrews 13:17 (New International Version)

17Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.

Sometimes I dont agree with what we are asked to do but will do it anyway, that's part of belonging to the Body of Christ!!

Well I know that everything is in Gods Hands so over to you Lord!

Healing service

On the last Friday of every month the church I go to holds a healing service.
So this Friday is the day!
If you have anyone on your heart you would like me to pray for just leave their name and a will do so!!

Luke 9:10-12 (New International Version)

10When the apostles returned, they reported to Jesus what they had done. Then he took them with him and they withdrew by themselves to a town called Bethsaida, 11but the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.

New Beginnings

For the Last 16 Months I have been working a job I didn't particularly like or enjoy and like a lot of people felt stuck with no way out, I have even prayed about this, prayed that I could do the job for God and not for me!
Luckily I have been privileged enough to work with some terrific people and made some excellent friends in this Job and will miss them , I wont however miss the company I worked for (enough said!)

From the 2nd of August I will be working for a Christian charity Called "The Message". This is a new beginning not just for me but for my family too. It is not a management role (something I struggled with for the last few years) but is a role which will make a real difference to peoples lives! I will not be on the front lines but what I do will enable those on the front line to carry out their jobs with out worrying about certain things.
My prayer now is that they are blessed by my work and that God is truly honoured.
